EUROBOT Conference 2008
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to distribute the
call for papers
for the
Eurobot Conference 2008
.
Eurobot Conference 2008 is an international conference on research and education in robotics .
In the past years, with the advances in microelectronics and digital technology, robots became a platform for innovation. This gave thrust to the development of new and fast robot systems. To further encourage the research in this area, this conference aims to gather researchers and developers from academic fields and industries worldwide to explore the state-of-the-art.
The program committee invites you to attend the EUROBOT conference 2008, which will be held in the University town in Heidelberg between 21. – 24. May 2008 , and submit papers on all aspects of robotic systems including, but not limited to:
Research
- Robot control and behaviour: evolutionary and cognitive robotics, navigation, planning, simulation, vizualization
- Applications of autonomous intelligent robots: Exploration robots, service robots, robots for hazardous environments
- Perception, processing and action: sensors, vision, motion systems, specialized peripherals
Education
- Robotics at School and at University: Curricula, methodology, competences, outcomes
- Practical educational robotics activities: Robot contests, workshops, summer camps, robotic kits for education and research
- Good practices in educational robot design: Project management, team development, funding, reusing parts and components
Special Eurobot session
- Presentation of robots designed for Eurobot contest including previous editions: Robot design, planning, team building and management
The Proceedings of the EUROBOT Conference 2008 will be published in the Springer series. Therefore, the layout of the papers must be prepared according to the Instructions for the Preparation of Camera-Ready Contribution to LNCS Proceedings . The paper should be between 6 and 15 pages. Authors are asked to follow these instructions exactly.
